A nursing home in northern Virginia will close its doors to the public for the summer after the nursing home’s management was unable to come up with the money to continue operating it for another three years, according to a statement released by the county.
The decision comes after an agreement was reached in which the nursing homes management agreed to pay the county $20 million to cover the costs of closing the facilities.
A spokesperson for the county said the nursing facility will reopen for the fall, and the county will be reimbursing the county for its costs of operations.
The county paid $10 million to the nursinghome in 2016 for its facilities to be used in the transition to a new nursing home.
