The National Park Service, which oversees the national parks and monuments in the U.S., has awarded a contract to the California-based nursing home company, Belhaven, to oversee the park’s Legacy Nursing Home.
The contract covers the four nursing homes located at the Lincoln Memorial and the National Cemetery at Parkland, both in the Lincoln National Cemetery.
The Lincoln Memorial will remain open for a period of one week after Memorial Day until Memorial Day, when it will close for the Memorial Day holiday.
Belhaven will operate the four sites for a total of nine years.
The other three nursing homes are located at Belhaven Parkview, Parkland Memorial and Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, and are also part of the National Park System.
Belhaven also manages the Lincoln & Lincoln Memorial National Memorial, which opened in January 2018.
It is the first time the Lincoln Park and Parkland sites have been awarded contracts by the National Parks Service, and it is unclear how long the Lincoln, Park, Lincoln &s; Parkland nursing homes will operate at the parks.
The park service has already awarded a second contract to Belhaven to manage the Lincoln Center for the Arts.
