Posted September 25, 2018 10:57:13After a nursing home resident was killed and two others wounded in a shooting at a home in southwest Georgia, officials announced that the victim had been the victim of an act of domestic violence.
The incident occurred Tuesday at a residence in the city of Sills, about 15 miles southwest of Atlanta.
Police said they were called to the home on the 1500 block of South High Street after a neighbor called 911 saying she heard gunshots fired.
They found a man and a woman dead on the floor and another man and woman wounded.
The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
A woman who lives in the house was hospitalized for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, officials told ABC News.
No one else was hurt.
Officials said they believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
They did not say how many shots were fired.
The shooting comes just a few weeks after a shooting and shooting spree at a nursing homes in Georgia killed one woman and wounded three others.
