Posted November 14, 2018 08:00:16A nursing home located in the city of New York has been reported to be haunted.
In a report published in the New York Post, the nursing home’s manager told local news station WCBS that residents at the nursing facility have been seen leaving the facility in “suspiciously odd ways” that have prompted the manager to call 911.
“We’ve been called, but the calls are coming in, so it’s getting to the point where I can’t answer the phone anymore,” he said.
The nursing home is located in Bayview in the Bronx, and was built in 1926.
According to the report, residents who have visited the nursing center have also been seen at a home in the area of East 51st Street and East 22nd Street, and at the home of a woman who has not been identified.
Investigators said the nursing staff at the Bayview facility have also received death threats, but it is not clear if any of the residents have been killed.
Police say there are no signs of forced entry into the home, but residents have told investigators that they have seen the facility as a “safer space.”
The New York State Department of Health said the facility is “not currently serving any patients or visitors.”
